Real Salt Lake sign DeAndre Yedlin to contract extensionÂ
TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Extension Real Salt Lake have signed defender DeAndre Yedlin to a contract extension through 2027 with an option for 2028, the club announced Monday.
The 32-year-old defender returns for his second season with Real Salt Lake after joining the club mid-season in 2025. Yedlin began his professional career in 2013 with the Seattle Sounders FC as the club’s first homegrown player before transferring to the Premier League. Yedlin has made 183 appearances in the MLS playing with Seattle 2013-14, Inter Miami 2022-24, and Cincinnati 2024-25, recording six league goals, and earning MLS All-Star honors three times in 2013, 2014, 2022. Internationally, Yedlin has represented the U.S. Men’s National Team in two FIFA World Cups (2014 & 2022), becoming the youngest U.S. player at the 2014 tournament in Brazil. In his 2025 season with Real Salt Lake, Yedlin made seven starts and scored one goal.
