Houston Dynamo sign Amine Bassi to contract extension
TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Extension Houston Dynamo FC have signed midfielder Amine Bassi to a contract extension through 2025 with options for 2026 and 2027, the club announced Friday.
Bassi joined the Dynamo in January 2023 from FC Metz in France and quickly established himself as a key contributor to the team’s attack. In 2023, he scored the decisive goal in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup final versus Inter Miami CF and helped the team advance to the Western Conference Final behind two postseason goals. Bassi also helped the Dynamo qualify for the MLS Cup Playoffs in consecutive years for the first time in a decade, while the team set club records for points (54) and road wins (8) last season. Notably, he led the Dynamo in regular season goals (10) in 2023 and assists (8) in 2024.
Latest transaction: Used Target Allocation Money to sign through the 2024 season with a club option for 2025 and 2026.
