Wagner makes his third MLS All-Star appearance (2021, 2022, 2025)
NEW YORK (Sunday, July 20, 2025) – Philadelphia Union left back Kai Wagner was named to the 2025 MLS All-Star roster by MLS All-Star head coach Nico Estévez today, marking the defender’s third career All-Star appearance (2021, 2022, 2025). The 2025 MLS All-Star Game will be played on Wednesday, July 23 at 9 p.m. ET (MLS Season Pass on Apple TV), with the MLS All-Stars facing off against the best of LIGA MX.
The German defender has appeared in 22 matches for the Union this year, registering eight assists and a goal across just over 1,900 minutes. Wagner has helped power a bounce-back season for the Union, who currently sit in third place in the Eastern Conference and Supporters’ Shield standings following Matchday 26 and lead the league with 23 goals allowed this season. The 28-year-old has appeared in 194 games (189 starts) for the Union since arriving in MLS in 2019, totaling a club-record 60 assists and seven goals while earning MLS Best XI honors in 2022.
The 2025 MLS All-Star Game will be available for free on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV in both English and Spanish, and also available for free to Comcast Xfinity customers, DIRECTV customers, and Amazon Prime Video subscribers.
