After leading the New England Revolution to a third straight win, Peyton Miller has been named MLS Player of the Matchday for Matchday 27 of the 2026 season.
The 18-year-old homegrown delivered the first multi-goal performance of his MLS career in New England's 4-2 win over Orlando City, including the game-winning goal in second-half stoppage time. Miller initially doubled the Revolution's advantage on a second-half counter-attack, then struck again after Orlando rallied from a 2-0 deficit.
Miller now has career highs in goals (seven), assists (four), goal contributions (11) and game-winning goals (three). He becomes one of just 11 teenagers in MLS history to reach 7g/4a in a single campaign. He joins RBNY's Julian Hall and Philadelphia's Cavan Sullivan as the third teenager to do so in 2026.
The breakout season has also earned Miller his first call-up to the US men's national team. He'll join the USMNT for their upcoming September and October friendlies, with four matches scheduled from Sept. 26-Oct. 6.
Miller is the second New England player to earn Player of the Matchday honors this season after Alhassan Yusuf in Matchday 21. He also makes it back-to-back as a teenage winner after Sullivan took home Matchday 26 honors.
The Revs are back in action on Saturday with a visit to Real Salt Lake (9:30 pm ET | Apple TV).
The MLS Player of the Matchday is selected each matchday of the regular season through both media and fan voting in a process conducted by MLS Communications. A panel of journalists from the North American Soccer Reporters (NASR) comprises 75 percent of the vote, while an Instagram fan vote represents the remaining 25 percent of voting. NASR consists of members of print, television, radio and online media.
