New York City FC got its first victory of the 2020 preseason, riding a pair of goals from academy product Andres Jasson to a 2-1 victory over USL Championship side Orange County SC in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
Fielding a largely full-strength starting XI, NYFC got its first of the day from Jasson midway through the first half off a setup from Heber and Keaton Parks. Jasson then doubled that advantage in the second half with a finish off an assist from Joe Scally for the decisive tally that offset a classy second-half goal from OCSC.
NYCFC are now 1-3-0 in preseason play and will continue their preparation for the upcoming season with a brief trip back to New York City before heading down to Florida on Saturday for the final stage of their preseason.
