LAFC have parted ways with head coach Marc Dos Santos, the club announced Sunday evening.
Dos Santos was appointed in December 2025, taking over after being an assistant under previous head coach Steve Cherundolo.
In a statement, LAFC said they "will share an update on [their] interim coaching plans soon" and that they'll begin the search for a new head coach.
“Marc has given a great deal to this club over the years, and we are grateful for his commitment, care and contributions to LAFC. We wish Marc and his family all the best moving forward," said John Thorrington, LAFC's president of soccer operations.
The decision comes with LAFC sixth in the Western Conference on 41 points (11W-9L-8D). They have six regular-season games left to qualify for the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs and challenge for home-field advantage in the postseason.
The Black & Gold have won one of their last 10 matches (1W-4L-5D). Most recently, they lost 1-0 at FC Dallas on Saturday night.
Star forwards Denis Bouanga and Son Heung-Min highlight LAFC's roster. They've combined for 20 goals and 21 assists this year.
